David Volk

David is passionate about helping those in need file for bankruptcy and begin their fresh start. David grew up in Colorado and enjoys the mountains, whether it is camping, fishing, hiking, or skiing. David found his love of the law through family members who practiced. He attended undergraduate school in Ohio where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

After graduating, David stayed in Ohio working in the home appraisal business until he left and attended the University of Wyoming College of Law. While attending law school he discovered his interest in bankruptcy law and the need for strong representation for debtors going through bankruptcy. David also worked with guardian ad litem (GAL) while in school. After law school, David returned to Colorado, passed the bar, and is now practicing bankruptcy law. David joined Allstate Law Center, PC in 2018.

Robert Salter

Rob has been practicing Law in Colorado for the last fifteen years. After graduating from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Law in 1993, Rob moved to Colorado to enjoy the skiing, biking, and outdoor activities that the Rocky Mountains offer. In 1995, he began working as a counselor for dependent and neglected children at a residential treatment facility in Denver. Feeling as though he could work within the legal system to improve the lives of children, Rob decided to attend law school, where he also worked represented dependent and neglected children, as a guardian ad litem (GAL) supervised by the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center. Rob graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, passed the state bar exam, and was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 2005.

In 2007, Rob formed Harkess & Salter, LLC, a general law practice focusing primarily on Bankruptcy and Family Law. Harkess & Salter eventually grew to a six-attorney law firm practicing in a variety of legal forums, however, Rob continued to work almost exclusively on Bankruptcy and Family Law cases. In 2015 Rob’s law partner moved out of state, and, after growing weary of taking care of the administrative work on top of a full case load, Rob decided to shutter the practice.

In 2017, Rob joined Allstate Law Center, PC as its Colorado supervising attorney. He is now focused exclusively on helping individuals and families get the fresh start afforded by the Bankruptcy Code.
